The Challenge
Hospitality service is constrained by manpower availability, peak-hour bottlenecks, and inconsistency in service speed.
Imported service robots cost ₹15-30L per unit, are not localized for Indian environments, and lack support infrastructure. The brief: build a service robot engineered for Indian hospitality conditions at a viable price point.
The Solution
Misti is an AI-powered autonomous service robot built for indoor navigation in dynamic hospitality environments. It uses LiDAR-based SLAM for mapping, real-time obstacle detection for safety, and a touch interface for staff and customer interaction.
The robot integrates into existing service workflows — staff load orders, the robot navigates to predefined tables, customers retrieve their items, and the robot returns to the loading station. No infrastructure changes required.
System Architecture
- LiDAR-based SLAM mapping and navigation
- Multi-sensor obstacle detection (avoidance + safety stop)
- Embedded processing unit for real-time decision-making
- Touch interface for user interaction
- Wi-Fi connectivity for fleet updates and monitoring
- Cloud sync for analytics and remote support
